The capacity of both schools is 1,500 pupils/students, which is the equivalent of the population of a small town. This will create the largest concentration of children and teenagers in Brno in an area so small that originally there was only one school accommodated there in the master plan. In such cramped conditions it is necessary to create the best possible environment for children and their education. Burdening the site with additional administrative function would be narrow-minded and inappropriate. The school campus itself is multi-functional by its very nature and operates throughout the week from morning to night. At the same time, it is very simple, which establishes its easy, investment-separated and mutually independent implementation and operation, as well as its economy and sustainability. E.g. every school and nursery school has its own real garden on a terrain, which enables the planting of trees and the construction of green and blue infrastructure. At the same time, the building, land and operation of each of the schools are strictly separated. The location of the sports facilities in a separate hall (composed of 2 mutually separated parts – buildings) brings, in addition to independent commercial operation, also the screening of the railway and, at the same time, the possibility of obtaining the maximum amount of subsidies. The proposal creates a school of contemporary, open pedagogy. Traditional classes or classrooms expand or supplement areas for teamwork, other than face-to-face teaching, places for grouping. It is both a friendly children’s world and an institution shaping society. It is sufficiently robust and at the same time flexible to function well, easily and without special maintenance requirements alongside the railway in a gradually growing and changing city and in pedagogical practice.
